All week I've been thinking about Lučki dedec, Najnar štant and Šraj pesek. That was planned for Sunday, but it quickly fell through.
Well, that's how it started. I park in front of Bela.
I look around, the highest peaks were already scorched by the sun. I think a bit how pleasant it is at this time of year when the sun warms you in the mountains. But my route, it'll be in shade and frost all the way.
I sat in the car. 10 min later I park at Žagana peč and hurry towards Kalška gora. A little after 10 I was at the top, Kalški greben looked inviting too, but a gray cloud was rising from the valley. Kalški greben will wait, and I dash back to the valley.
Under the cliffs of Kalški turn I sit down for a bit, it really warmed there, then a gray cloud creeps towards me in a few minutes. Meanwhile Mokrica and Kompotela were already wrapped in fog.
No choice but to weigh anchor and hurry to the valley. When I got in the car a couple of drops even fell.
It was a great day while it lasted. In the valley it continued the same.

Demanding tour, congrats! If I get it right, sadly for someone on the other side of the same mountain it didn't end well in the morning. Safe travels to all on the paths! best

My condolences.
Do you know maybe more details about the accident? Four months ago it pulled me there too, a short section was very exposed -rock, ice and steep slope. Now treacherously covered with new snow...

Ascent from this side, I usually descended along the hunter's path. The descent down there always looked pretty scary, couldn't afford even a minimal slip. It usually happens when fresh snow up top runs out and below just ice. It happened that we climbed down like a waterfall (if on the marked path). It's smarter a bit to the right, nicer winter variant.

They climbed the gully between V and M Kalško. They already reached the top. It happened when they were at the top, or maybe already started descending, not sure exactly...

It happened at the end of the second route that day. 10m below the summit. Descent on marked path went without issues. One unlucky step on very hard snow.

Hello!
I'm interested if there's still any snow on the ascent and descent? We'll approach past the hunting hut on an unmarked path and descend towards Kokrsko sedlo. I have the trip on Saturday, 26. 6. and wonder if snowfields above the hut are still there, or if a detour or even winter gear is needed.

I rushed up the steep path to Kalška gora, I walked a good hour and a half from Žagana peči. On top there was a little wind blowing. I descended to Kokrsko sedlo and back to the starting point.
