I zoomed in. That highest peak interests me? Taken from Matajur?

Not a quiz, but I'm really interested as I have no idea. Hope the pic can be zoomed properly, else I'll upload it to another server. Taken last weekend while strolling the "highway" around Soriška planina. Precisely, at Slatnik. Maps say two Slatniks close by (?!?). This is at the eastern one ("only" 1599 m) i.e. the first reached from Lajnar (most cable cars to Soriška pl. end there) heading west then to Možic or elsewhere. West of this Slatnik summit on slope (at least) three above-ground Alpine Wall bunkers, pic through slit (hence edge) from inside the westernmost/southernmost closest to ridge path. For help what I know: upper left western Slatnik (1609 m somewhat higher; btw bunker below), middle partly hidden ex-Italian Slatnik barracks now Kor sheepfold, Kor covered by slit edge top right, background higher white peaks. Possible highest (right over barracks) is Triglav? In the area: Italians peeking from Možic cupola and another bunker hill before had good lake view. PMSM only Bohinj Lake?

Yes, Triglav and Lake Bohinj. The peaks are NW and SE Slatnik, NW peak is the highest around there. From it you can see the sea in good weather too (Italian side)... These peaks really have great views, edelweiss will bloom soon too, most of it is in the walls above the mulatjera leading under SE Slatnik on the Primorska side.

@georgia, edelweiss has already bloomed this Sunday also at the place you mention.

Hello, I'll borrow the thread for my problem: I'm editing old slides from 1997 and for one photo it's not clear to me which peak it was taken on. I can't infer from the other photos because they don't seem to match time-wise (e.g. hair length). The cross looks very similar to the cross on Vajnež, but at least today there's no stone cairn there. Also time-wise it doesn't match the trip when we were actually near Vajnež.

Looks similar to Bistriška špica/Feistritzer Spitze

Bravo and many thanks! I suspected that the photo was taken in autumn and we went to Peč just in autumn. I myself looked on Google only at photos at the summit and near Kordeževa glava.

For connoisseurs of the Bohinj Mountains (which separate Bohinj and Baška Grapa) and a bit of the Cerkno hills too. So, I wandered around Vrh Bače. I got there from Soriska Planina or more precisely via the "semi-official" path (not marked but sufficiently trodden), which from the remains of the cableway between the two Slatnik peaks crosses the quite impressive south wall and by zigzagging loses height until it joins the path from Petrov Brdo and reaches the remains of the Italian barracks near the pass. Could it be said that I crossed the south wall of Slatnik or does it already belong to another peak? From in front of the barracks or from the natural viewpoint before it, the view opens to this hill with a mighty vertical rocky wall on the right half of picture 1 right above the hunting hut (far right). First I thought it was Šance, but a detailed map review says Šance are somewhat further south, probably on the left half of the picture, while this hill has no name at all (although it looks higher, but I allow for the possibility of distortion due to perspective)? And why did I get stuck on this hill right above the hut? Probably the entrance to the combat block of the Italian Alpine Wall can be noticed midway up that vertical wall even without zoom. Fortunately, this entrance can be reached non-alpinistically too, via a "goat" path from in front of the hut itself, or even easier on the marked branch "Rapalska meja" north of the hut. If we enter (definitely with a good torch), the main tunnel soon turns right and ends in an observation post. The view through the narrow slit of this observation post is on picture 2. And top right is some peak. First I thought it was Šavnik, but later that the real Šavnik is not overgrown with trees at all. Which hill is it then? Since GPS doesn't work in the tunnels, there's no such data in the EXIF (but we can say it's a few meters further west of the hunting hut in a straight line), but it can be found that GPSImgDirection is 38.27 and GPSImgDirectionRef "Magnetic North"; unfortunately, I can't find anywhere what this data means or how reliable it is. In any case, it's definitely a view somewhere towards the north and according to the map it could be Mali vrh or Jelenov/Jelov vrh north of Šavnik. Italian soldiers 9 decades ago could also enjoy the views from the "balcony" at the very entrance to the mentioned combat block. Towards Baška Grapa on picture 3. Bača near Podbrdo is recognizable, with enlargement Podbrdo itself too, but attention is drawn to 3 peaks that stand out in height and from this perspective look almost equally high. Clearly, at least one must be Porezen, which is also on the wishlist for next time. If I project this onto the map, it seems to me that the rightmost could really be Porezen, the middle perhaps Pohoški kup a.k.a. Glava, the leftmost Hoč? The two somewhat lower "humps" perhaps Črni vrh right before this "triglav" and a bit before it somewhat lower and isolated Špičnok?

I don't know the Primorska hills well enough, but I helped myself with the "Generate a panorama" program and it printed the following: Hills from left to right: Hoč 1514m, Pohoški kup (Glava) 1542m and the right Porezen 1630m. The table-top peak on the right is Kojca 1301m. I was in the bunker above the hunting hut at Baško sedlo, but I don't know the hill's name. Šance is probably the peak further west towards Kobla. Maybe the whole area is called Šance and the peak under which the bunker is also belongs to it. Maybe you'll find more data in the book by Dušan Škodič - Meja na razvodnici, where the whole Rapalska border is described.

nejcf thanks. For the first one I got the info that it's Skutnik. Where we were yesterday is Tore Guardia. Otherwise confusion in maps. But in the end the right solution is found.

Hello I need your help. Which two peaks are these? Photographed from Monte Nebria. I think they are in the Carnic Alps. Thanks.
