Primoza, are you 100% sure none of 5/5 has corona virus? I really fear for all who generously sell you their goodies. Because of such fools, many will be deprived of goodbye to parents, grandparents. Let's finally behave like we're all potential virus carriers. Only then it won't be like in China, Italy, Spain....

They conquered Planina nad Vrhniko. Bravo!!! Congrats on the new achievement and for having healthily survived the day in the crowd of complete strangers. I live under Planina and know what kind of crowd there is on the path. You really are patient!!!

I was there on Tuesday. At the top by the tower and hut there were about 10 of us, all kept distance. I chose the less crowded path from Prezid, down from Ulovka on the ski slope where there is really lots of space oho oho and on the road where I met only a few walkers, back!

Vrtača - Y and as far right as possible - 3.5.2020
It was windy already when we set off from Zelenica. At the hut quite a few people, some turned back early in the morning due to the wind. Still we went to check how things stand. Many people also went to Palec and Zelenjak, to the gully only us two.
When we arrived under the snowfield between Left and Y gully we geared up properly and slowly our mouths spread into grins as that nice feeling that you're climbing a bit visits again  Snowfield towards Left is OK, but when we reached the wall, we dry tooled a bit to the right over the scree towards Y gully. Twice a few meters to get back to firm snow. In the lower part snow conditions are super, in the upper part the snow is already a bit rotten. Some also on the rock, because the snow has already melted quite a bit. We exited far right and therefore had to go a bit along the ridge (mix snow/rock) to reach the summit. Worth mentioning that in places where you approach the rock it can really give way underfoot, especially if you're more prone to gravity - like me.
Quite a few people approached via the normal route. But that path is much muddier

The classic one already a few weeks ago had no dangerous sections, it was muddy. After the summit on the ridge there was still snow, but on parts where there is no danger.

The normal summer path via Zelenica is dry, except for two 10m snow patches a couple of minutes below the summit, which pose no problems.

We said we'd go to the hut at Završnica spring for struklji. I ate beans. Still a few hours of daylight in the afternoon left. We decide to go to Vrtača. The sun chases us on the path, the closer to the top the more wind. At the top we turn around and back towards Ljubelj. At Zelenica, sour milk and schnapps. Before dark, we reach the car. We nicely walked the unplanned tour.

On Tuesday, 02.03.2021 super weather and conditions for the path to Vrtača. Gully just right frozen for safe approach. Of course near top exposures waiting....

On Thursday, 18.3.2021 weather was a bit sunny and a bit shady.
Approached via Leva grapa, on ridge met two friendly rescuers who came via SE ridge and we quickly chatted about crampon straps and their use, and about weather and conditions. They said they'd ski a bit from below summit to south side, we went to summit and descended via J grapa.
Conditions in Leva grapa super - concrete, probably same for Y too, looks nicely tracked.
