Today, nice sunny day we used for a trip around Vršič (wanted to go to Slemenova špica, but no track yet, turned back midway as sinking too much in places). Nice regards

Not Bovški Gamsovec on penultimate pic, but Bavški Grintavec, B. Gamsovec above Kriški podi not visible from Vršič.

After returning from Svinjak, I decide for ascent to the top of Vršič, a bit windy, otherwise nice day, no hikers around huts and warm, snow melting fast, road drivable no problem, dry.

Today nice loop tour to Vršič. Up old road down normal road. Weather nice, warm almost no wind, views great. Road drivable to Gozd hut (with winter gear). Nice greetings.

Today at Vršič. Up the road, then old trail partly trodden, partly holes, descent by the main road. We met no one except road workers plowing.

The road is plowed to the 17th hairpin turn - to 1420 m

On the track it goes well, otherwise it sinks through

Erjavčeva was closed today (only still today).

janez.novak, the road was normally drivable to Koča na Gozdu. Most of us then from there on foot or skis. Some despite snowy icy road drove cars further to small parking with view of entire Prisojnik north face... pic below.
Conditions will change now with new precip coming. Good luck in 2014 nasmeh

I'd ask again, how far is the road normally drivable and what are the conditions towards Mali Mojstrovka (via scree to Grebenca)?

Two roads lead to Vršič, one from Kg, one from Trenta!? Otherwise, you have some info on conditions at TKG.

Yesterday I was at Vršič - parked at Russian Cross, quite a few cars up to Koča na Gozdu, nice path to the top of the pass, at the pass like in a fairy tale. The road is officially closed above Erika, I was thinking how nice it would be if it was plowed to Koča na Gozdu. Further it would be a nice, easy path with great views, in between open Erjavčeva koča with food and drink - nice trip for young and old.
