After thirty long years I finally went over Štularjeva planina to Spodnje Ravni to the Czech Hut and then up the old path to Vratca, down the new one. Now there are cables before entering the gully before Vratca, from thirty years ago I don't remember them. At the cables it was a bit muddy today, so the cables were quite welcome. Down I usually go to Umik Žrela.

View as it once was, only without the road.

I first went to Vratca in my twenties, when there were no cables yet and practically no visits. I still remember, we went with my classmate, up we somehow made it, down we didn't dare, as everything was sliding. For some time we gathered courage, but we had no other choice than to return. Well, it still slides today, as we witnessed a hiker who put quite some effort to regain balance.

Our path was a mix of marked and unmarked paths. We started before the barrier in Ravenska Kočna and headed to the Slovenska pot to Ledine, but there turned right to the "Umik Žrela" path. We passed the junction to Žrela direction, but it's also closed. We didn't stop at the hut, from the top of Vratca continued to the neighboring peak, as shortly before we spotted a chamois there, which didn't wait long. Returned via the hunting path under Špegovec peak, which we had walked previously, but this time in the opposite direction.

We didn't have the best views at the top, but avoided the heat that way, which isn't bad nasmeh

We did the tour analysis at Planšarsko Lake and found we did cca 1000m ascent, good for our poor condition nasmeh
