Visoka Rezijanska pot / Alta via Resiana

Resian is easier. Difficulty level can be reduced further if going left to right, i.e. Žrd - Kanin - Vrh Laške Planje. For me the hardest on the whole Resian trail was descent from Kanin to Vrh Krnice. Better said, psychologically demanding and dangerous. Also under Črni Vogel there's a short more difficult spot. In the described direction we ascend both spots not descend, which is noticeably easier. In between pure poetry. Of course exposed, but rock is good, passages open up, no orientation loops anywhere because everything is well marked.

This time loop from Resia, start and end below Malga Coot. No snow, ice or wet yet. Path 642a is officially closed, probably due to landslides in descent gullies, but passable with some caution. At the bottom easier to find own passages over the slide than blindly follow old marks. On the other side of the slope need to hit still solid path that rises to Planina Grubje and joins path from Solbica to bivouac Marušič.

One optimistic question...on maps from Solbica up, more precisely from "Igor" towards Žrd there are some springs/streams...probably can't rely too much on that? Because it would come in handy sparing those cca 1200m of carrying liquid for 2 days And question about bivak Marušič...inside there are yoga mats, but is the floor harder? So maybe carry just a sheet instead of sleeping bag...

I have one picture from the bivouac, last year. It still has light and you can charge your phone. As others told me, Kanin is dry. I wouldn't rely on water there, I don't know because I descended elsewhere. When I went from the sawmill, Babe - Laške Planje - Kanin in the opposite direction, I had to go for water to Rifugio Celso Gilberti and back. 40 min one way, 1.5 extra hours for water. Regards,

As predecessor wrote - Marušič is OK. Don't know about water.

Trobec, from the western side there is no water there, the last one is below bivouac Crasso, and even there it's more like drops.

Yes, really, it was dripping in drops on 20. 8. this year. Otherwise there is standing water in the trough and a drip.

Rumour has it that apparently water exists in one of the screes not far from Marussich. Something is marked on the Tabacco map. But I don't know if it's maybe just a myth.

Water is only the one Darinka mentioned, the rest is pure drought. I, who am of the thirstier sort, carried 4x 1.5 l and at the beginning drank more so that I was lighter soon. But I conked out instantly and didn't sleep.

Here, from ormeverticali.it N.B. The only water source present along the route – which we used – is about twenty minutes from bivacco Marussich westward, towards the end of Foran dal Muss. This one is easily found and also marked on Tabacco map 027. I repeat, I didn't search on site - but it should exist.

Here's the map too, to make it clearer what is meant.
