I'm interested in the conditions from Dleskovska Planota to Veliki vrh. Is it tracked (without snowshoes or skis), is the area avalanche-prone and how is it with the car to the starting point? Thanks!

Today we did the tour Podvežak - Veliki vrh. The car must be left at Mlinar farm. So to Planina Podvežak it's a good hour's walk. The path was trodden, but when we turned to Veliki vrh we waded knee-deep or a bit more. Up to the ridge sinking all the way, on the ridge barely better. At the top we spread out paragliders and flew back to Podvežak. Lower down fog. L.P.

Hats off to pilot Alpin, it looks extremely nice, probably you also need lots of experience with unpredictable mountain winds from all directions.

Thanks for the praise. Regarding winds, it's good to know the forecast is moderate. Directions change depending on the terrain. Today the vertical sounding was tilted towards NE (SV), on Veliki vrh it was NW (SZ). On Krvavec, which is practically next door, it was E (V). I want to say it's hard to predict exactly. It's important there are no gusts over 8 m/s. Otherwise, hats off to you who walk back. I might just add that the gentler sex is increasingly choosing this nice sport and today one flew after me too. Correction. The car must be left at the Planinšek farm. I apologize, L.P.

Skied on Kamniško-Savinjski Komni about a good week ago. Conditions: crust, hard on the summit. Given the temperatures and humidity prevailing currently everywhere in the high mountains, except perhaps on the highest peaks, thaw and nice spring slush - hard to traverse classically on foot - skis or snowshoes almost mandatory. I think Sunday morning will be the right time. Otherwise wait until it firms up a bit, then it will be the real thing ...judging by the pictures, it will really be hard to beat last year's

Today hike to Veliki vrh. Start at 5.00 from Podvežak, summit at 6.35. Still some snow patches on the way, but you can avoid them.

Hi! I'm wondering how demanding the trail to Veliki Vrh or Velika Zelenica from Planina Podvežak is orientation-wise?

@zipo I think the trail is not orientationally demanding, of course it depends on the weather situation. In fog it's surely difficult if you can't see your goal. The path is well trodden and the directional signposts will help plus stone men. Just watch your step and good luck with the weather, which is quite changeable these days. Best regards

Extremely beautiful pictures of gentian - I know that's not real gentian. Unfortunately I don't have such a good camera. Today for example I photographed twenty species of flowers and all for the first time. Best regards.
