Up to Primož it's slushy, higher up more snow, lots of branches and some trees on the ground. One a bit below Mickino bajta fully blocks the path, bypass needs more caution due to steepness. I think a fox tail could remove the issue. From there snow depth rises sharply, at Domžalec a fine 80cm. Without skis or crampons don't go up, between Jarški and Domžalski I waded to my waist. Instead of four minutes, almost twenty for that short distance. Stove warm, girl friendly, whole room to myself.

Today 'armed' with a Stihl over the fallen tree. Passage cleared, bypass no longer needed. Walked to Pirčev vrh, nothing more planned today. Lightly snowing all the time. In the sun the snow idyll would be perfect. Due to the abundance of snow, advise against the lower summer path, which is demanding and dangerous in the last part.

This morning I went to check the conditions up there. At Primož it's 25 cm, 200 m higher it's 60 cm, at Pirčev vrh at least 80 cm. I didn't go further, as it would take at least an hour and a half to Domžalec. This 'treat' awaits me on Thursday if there's no new snow.

Yes, Drago, I know skis are best now, but I've never had touring ones, just pulled snowshoes from 'mothballs', fitted to boots, ready for tomorrow.

On Thursday armed with snowshoes, but as Grega already noted, the youngsters overtook me and they were just a burden. In Jarški only a handful of people, I was happiest to see Škorc, whom I hadn't seen for several years. After Lidija's hot tea and tasty sandwich, I decided to return with snowshoes on and in the backpack. Due to a carelessly fastened zipper during descent I lost my hat, which I noticed only at the car. Horror. If it had been a few years ago, I would have gone back, but now...
The hat was very precious to me, so today I went up again with very little hope, although it wasn't planned. At the sight of it hanging on a twig by the path, my heart leapt. Thank you, unknown hiker, I will gladly repay you.
With elevated adrenaline I flew to Pirčev vrh...

If anyone's interested, the path from Jurček is well trampled. At the start, where there is still little snow, it is also icy. From Podkrajnik onwards there is really a lot. Fallen logs do not hinder walking too much.

Today from Kranjski rak to the summit.
All paths are trampled, some effort needed only for crossing drifts. Road to quarry is normally drivable.
Weather... excellent.
