Below the gully puddly surface that occasionally breaks through, most holds though. In the gully ideal conditions, hard and icy almost all the time. Well...ideal conditions aren't exactly easy. And a nice tour can turn out quite strenuous if not everything is just right...

Yesterday, Sunday 13.03 during descent from Turkish Mountain towards the hut at Rinka waterfall I lost my ice axe somewhere. If anyone has found something, I'd be very happy if they contact me at 041499649

Today on Turkish Mountain.

Up to the spring nothing special to mention, slippery due to water, which is standard for this time of year anyway.

At the spring snow starts, but to the hut no special obstacle. Where it is, it is firm enough but not icy, so progress is fairly safe.

Towards Gornje Okrešlje to the top of Zaspani Hill early morning still quite firm snow, below the gully tough. OK to proceed on old tracks of hikers, but they run out eventually. About 30m above boulders snow firms again and there is a track to the top. There were also two skiers ahead of me.

To Turska not much traffic, seems one skier was there recently, conditions mixed. Need to be especially careful on the traverse almost below the summit where snow is windblown.

On descent I sank in the lower gully part because snow was too soft. Same to the rescue station.

Many people went to the hut late morning today.

Hi monocit, I walked this part on Saturday 11.6. In between about 10m snow patch with carved steps. From Kamniško sedlo to Turska gora you'll have to cross that snow patch downhill. I went the opposite way and had no issues. Downhill will probably be a bit trickier.

Today through Žleb to summit. Descent to Kotliče and old marked gully to Okrešelj.
No extreme heat… nasmeh
