Experience also includes knowledge of mountains, route difficulty, equipment, weather and many more things. If you're so experienced, you'll be able to choose the appropriate route without problem.

When is it time to pick up a guidebook or search for older posts on the net. There's really so much written about Triglav already...

I'm interested how high the climbing part on the ladder through Prag is? What's the difficulty? Need for self-belay kit? Does anyone have experience with beginners on this part? I'd like to lead a group of 4 people on this path who have no experience with pegs and cables. Is there any other difficult obstacle on the path? Thanks for the answer

On the path Through the Threshold there is no ladder. But you need to climb about 15 m in a vertical wall along the cable and carved steps.

First hike the path yourself, then think and assess how you'll lead anyone where. This applies to every tour! You don't even know yourself, yet you'd lead others! Have you thought about responsibility???

Žl don't nag about responsibility, that's why I'm asking, because I'm concerned for others, otherwise someone who has already gone this path is coming along, just because I'm responsible, I prefer to ask the crowd. More heads, more knowledge That's why there's a forum for conditions in the mountains. Otherwise, everything is the first time once. Thanks everyone for the answer!

Bojan A: What you photographed (forwarded the picture) is not "LOJTRA".

"I would like to lead along this path a group of 4 people who have no experience..." From this sentence it can be understood that you will lead. If someone else who knows the path joins, you can most easily discuss the tour itself with him. Really, more heads, more knowledge, but just in the mountains sober judgment with your own head most often helps. And a safe journey!

Panda: I think they call this section "Lojtra". In any case Robert meant this section of the path.

No, you are mistaken. It is not called lojtra, but vertical ascent along the chain Čez Prag (this path is also named after this section).

Aha. But, isn't it that there are Lower and Upper Prag?

We call this section of Čez Prag medvedova skala, where once according to the tale, a bear was killed by Trenta hunters. LP-Rok.

I haven't seen in any guidebook that this section is called "lojtra". Anyway, it's not even important. If there is a lower and upper prag, I wouldn't know. In guidebooks it says: After crossing Bistrica, the pitons warm us up over the first rocky jump, lined up in sequence. Then we follow the trodden path winding upwards without major difficulties to the rocky jump which needs to be overcome in a 15-meter vertical section next to the cable and carved steps. When we step over "prag" we continue with easy walking ahead. Precisely at this spot the path to Triglav got the name "Čez Prag". If I'm wrong, I apologize to all for misleading them.

žl is completely right, first walk the path yourself, only then decide to take someone else along. It would be extremely irresponsible to lead others on a path you don't know. Besides, you don't have a guiding license either, so...

On 10+11.8 my wife and I walked the path: voje-vodnikov dom-planika-triglav-dolič-7 lakes-komna-savica. The path is wonderful, nicely marked, well protected but requires lots of fitness if we want to do it in 2 days.

Interesting tour. But can you definitely make it in one day too? I plan from Vrata and back via Sedmera in one day.

Of course it's possible. In 12-13 hours you get from Vrata over Triglav, Dolič, valley of the seven lakes and Komarča to the valley. The question arises: what will you get from it, how will you return to the starting point if satisfied!?
