If Stol and Jalovec recently rejected me thoroughly, yesterday I had a fantastic time.
Fully packed parking in Krma I leave a bit after five. I turn off the headlamp after exiting the forest, the summer path is soon occupied by smooth ice, which troubles me for a good ten minutes until it turns to snow. The latter is hard, very good for walking, it increases quickly with height. At Prgarca I put on crampons, it surprises me only that I don't overtake anyone, since I have a good pace when there were so many cars below. Well, I spot the first ones at Calvary, later the weatherman explains that quite a few people overnighted, one group went directly to the top to experience the sunrise there. In the hut I run into loud hustle, as the latter have just returned from the top and are mulling over the event. I'm in no hurry anywhere, as the mentioned report good conditions, I treat myself to an extended breakfast and put wet clothes under the bench, so with a much lighter backpack I head up the slope of Little Triglav. The footprints are really good, firm, on the ridge it pulled strongly at moments, on the narrowest parts I crouched a bit a few times . The real opposite was at the tower. The wind completely died down, the last clouds retreated from the sky, I enjoy solitude for some time and click, click - without gloves. Down it went much slower, I also had to chip off some crampon snowball with the ice axe, the rocks, as many as were visible, were mostly wet. On return to the hut the room is empty, everyone was sunning in front of it. Since I have plenty of time, and some space left on the film, I had to go take photos also at Kredarica, as the conditions were really wonderful.
This word is completely inappropriate for walking between the lower part of Calvary and Prgarca, since I lingered too long 'above' and the snow had already softened a lot, so spiking was inevitable. As inevitable as good beer at Dani and schnapps on the highway.
