If there's avalanche danger in the high mountains, then we go to the nearby hills: Puštal-St.Andrej-St.Ožbolt.

Nice. Smart decision. Yesterday on my own I felt it on descent from Mali Grintavec, when a snow layer shifted a good meter. My legs shook all the way to Kališče jezik

Yesterday was just right for a hike to St. Ožbolt. Not the nicest, quite cloudy, a bit windy, boring for some, a day you don't expect much from, but still can offer a nice experience. The visit to St. Ožbolt certainly is.

From the posts it looks like I'm the only one going to St. Ožbolt. But no. Today I met more than 10 hikers, which is quite a lot for this pathnasmeh If there was a tavern at the top, there'd probably be more visitors.

Real Siberian cold was on the ridge today, after stepping out of the forest and the beautiful view to the church opens up. Wind was whirling snow and covering predecessors' footprints, and also obscuring distant views. Felt like approaching a much higher peak than Ožbolt, eyes tearing from cold, face skin burning like in the Himalayas.
At the top surprisingly as if cut off, no wind and cold feeling eased right away.
So conditions suitable for visiting St. Ožbolt againnasmeh.

Today I went to see where this St. Ožbolt is. nasmeh From St. Andrej to St. Ožbolt, a bit by feel, sometimes on road and markings, sometimes through forest as befits a fox velik nasmeh. Day was kinda weird, little sun up there, real cold winter day.

It's been several years since I was on this path from Puštal to St. Ožbolt. Well, I see others haven't gone much either, since there are hardly any posts, and most are minenasmeh.

Nice day today, though wind was constant companion that incredibly strengthened right towards the top, at the top real test of strength who beats whom. If I had a few fewer kilos, the question would really be in placenasmeh.
But I like wind, doesn't deter menasmeh, in between dance of snowflakes, leaves in the air, nature came alive and I admired it.

After the tour to Klementina for the best spicy pizza.

Our municipality is not big. You can very quickly step over the borders of the allowed. Not on purposemežikanje. I found out that last time on the circular from Križna gora to Planica and around, I already crossed into the Kranj municipalitynasmeh. I have to be more careful next timenasmeh.
Well today there were no crossings, even though the border area isn't far away.
It was so nice today that we didn't just sit in front of the church, but we went down from it further down and up and around on a nice path. Completely new views opened up, since I don't know if we were just reviving old, almost forgotten images from past times.

Something is good in these times, you don't need to take money with you. It can stay homenasmeh.

It's not true that only I go to St. Ožbolt, although there are almost no other posts. Quite the opposite, now in corona times it's quite visited, some arriving, some leaving, some just stayingnasmeh. How not to, it's worth lingering longer in this beautiful world of the Polhograjci, and yesterday on a truly beautiful daynasmeh. Yes, it's true, I've been going up there almost my whole life and it's always been nice up there.

But there's still a path I hadn't climbed before. One such was yesterday. We were already figuring on Sunday that it'd be nice to climb above Selo village. We added Gradišče ridge 791 m and Polančev vrh at 907 m height which surpasses Ožbolt itself. And it didn't stop there. We added a steep descent from the summit along its northern slope.
On return we chose the variant under Polanc and Vrbanček farmstead, but not on the road, straight down the slope to the car, though the owner assured us it wouldn't go any other way than the road. In the end we felt we'd become real experts at itnasmeh.

Nice and worthwhile path, but what when they've forbidden crossing municipal borders. It's really time to abolish the nonsense. Whoever takes care will follow instructions, whoever doesn't, well...

Today to St. Ožbolt via St. Andrej starting from Puštal. That means you hike the path fully, don't shorten it, don't drive closer. This world is really beautiful. Today, when white snow color merged with green spring color along the whole path, it was almost kitschy.

From the top we did a small loop the other way to view the church from the other side too, thus slightly lengthening the path but mainly beautifying itnasmeh. Really, wonderful is this Polhograjci world! Especially dear to me since forevernasmehnasmeh.
