Start from Vrata, over Sovatna, first to Stenar, then to Križ past bivak IV back to start. Some snow patches on the path, no winter gear needed, otherwise path without special features. Nice, cold and windy Saturday.

Vrata - Bivak IV - Križ - Stenar - Sovatna - Vrata
Yesterday was a wonderful day for high mountains. In Vrata at parking at 7.30 still lots of space. Sun blazing, no wind, mostly short sleeves. Just missing sunscreen. Met quite a few hikers on described trail. Path well marked always. Especially above bivak IV follow marks as many fissures, holes along the path. From Križ down same path to cable base, then trodden path to Stenar junction. Caution in places. Both peaks great viewpoints. Company on Križ, also visitors on Stenar. When gone, listened to silence, enjoyed views, dozed a bit. Met two chamois, watched ibex from afar.
Descent to Sovatna with view of North Triglav face very nice too. Didn't think "harder" part awaited. In Vrata leaves everywhere on ground, flying up, rustling, lots of them. Easy to miss stone or step on root. Luckily passed without issues. First freeze makes it irrelevant.

Thanks Madeira, that's a bit too much for me in one day because I have 4-5 hours drive to the starting point, but days are quite shorter. Very nice circular tour.

Yesterday I did the route Vrata - Sovatna - Stenar - Križ - Bivak IV - Vrata, the path is definitely not yet dry, but it can be done without winter gear.
The most annoying part is the crossing of the snowfield at the bottom of the gully in the last pitch over Sovatna, before the fixed rope. The snowfield is steep and still quite hard at least in the morning, so I wouldn't tackle it without micro crampons. It can be bypassed on the right side of the gully, but not entirely easy.
The traverse under the summit part of Stenar is still snow-covered, but luckily the path goes low enough, so except for two small tongues (which you simply avoid) there is no snow on the path. The rest is simple.
Bovški Gamsovec from Dovška vrata to the summit looks completely dry and had lots of visitors yesterday.

For Stenar nothing, for Križ I don't know, but since many have walked it, probably not either.
