The road to Tinčkova hut is dry and normally drivable. Further to the hut at Završnica spring is partly slightly icy, but those parts can be avoided, so crampons are not necessary.
Further to the summit, conditions are even better for walking.

Path to Zelenica except initial dry 5 min walk is icy, higher up bit of snow too, but snow and ice melting fast. Path from Zelenica to Middle Peak almost fully snowy, locally crust sinking 10-20 cm, but most of the path trodden. Winter gear mandatory.

Today first time to Middle Peak, which was always too close for me. Up the path to Vrtača, then towards Stol to Šija saddle. Then just twenty minutes to summit. Some steepness there is. Today descent priority because after last rain bit slippery. But today huge number of visits on all nearby peaks and huts.

Middle Peak above Završnica doesn't have many reports, but I think it's a frequently visited peak. Hiked the trail on Sunday, 13.6.2021. Huge number of cars at Ljubelj. From the hut at Zelenica we went along the upper path to Šija saddle, to the summit and return past the hut at Završnica spring. At the hut we refreshed with excellent vamps. Lots of flowers and beautiful views, also some snow. Paths above Ljubelj are always nice. nasmeh

Today's impressions from the nice path to Middle Peak above Završnica. Started hiking a little before Tinčkova hut. Snow starts a bit above Tinčkova hut.

From Ljubelj past Dom na Zelenici and along the upper path under Vrtača to Middle Peak.
Snow from Dom onwards about 30 cm, but now a solid track is made. Descended past Završnica.
Winter idyll disturbed by machine gun fire, as NATO has exercises here. And apparently next week too…mrk pogledjezen

Tuesday's plan was to go a bit higher and make the most of the only day off in this New Year's period velik nasmeh

Today I went to Middle Peak from Tinčkova hut. Road in very good condition (payment 7 €). No snow to the Hut at Završnica spring. It starts somewhere at 1500-1600 m. From Šija saddle onwards up to about halfway to the summit, where I hit deep snow that was breaking through to the knees and beyond. Steep slope was dangerous to cross, so I turned back.

As far as I know the barrier at Tinčkova and towards Valvasor is open until May 1st,,,don't know why you paid

This is new from this year onwards from May, the municipality decided so, until May the barriers are open, I went a month ago to Tinčkove, and a good week ago towards Valvasor,, barrier open.
