Today's Špik via Kačji graben.
Dry up to 1200 meters, then consolidated snow. Snow of all kinds, from powdery, frozen, southern…
Up to 2000 meters the track is set, we extended the track to 2100, then turned back after base test. On the descent we also heard an avalanche that released from Kačji graben.
Up to 2000 it didn't seem technically hard to me, really a flat tour good luck.
Nice and warm. Špik another time.

In the same light a question, if you feel like sharing... What test method did you do and what was the result? Just crack after X blows, or did column collapse outright?

Original plan was different, as on Friday on Brana I realized the last fresh snow in high mountains hadn't even frozen and could be demanding, so yesterday I opted for a slightly lower hill.
At the small parking in Kranjska Gora before the bridge, two cars were already parked. Exactly at six I started along Pišnica, after twenty minutes I turned left into the steep gully, air for hiking excellent. Path through Kačji graben pleasant, cables withstood winter well, a small fox tail would be welcome as some twigs protrude over the path. First snow just before forest exit and since temperatures positive at night too, not frozen anywhere. Consolidated snow cover starts at 2200 m, I put on crampons although doable without. Climbing part of Špik completely dry, summit too. Stayed up top with six hikers quite a while, no frost, minimal wind. Met pleasant talkative lady from Škofja Loka among visitors. On descent snow softened enough, sliding real pleasure.
Finish in Jasna, cold beer doesn't allow long soaking...

Just a good kilometer apart and 130 elevation meters. Before mobile era, when we carried VHF stations, we'd surely have heard each other.
