I'm interested in what the conditions are like on Pristovški Storžič. Does anyone know? Thanks.

Now the conditions are quite wintry. There's also quite a bit of snow, so caution is advised. Anibaszavijanje z očmi

Since I know you know the conditions in this area well, I'll be happy if you write to me when it's the right time to visit Pr. Storžič. Thanks and best regards. Ana

This morning I went to Pristovški Storžič. Up I went on the more demanding path (Kranjska pot - Krainersteig), back on the easier one.

Since the description doesn't have more precise data on access or starting point, I'm interested in what is the most suitable path?

I went from the Jezersko border crossing. As soon as you enter the Austrian side, there's a small parking lot on the left side of the road. At the parking lot there are also signposts saying Storžič 1h 45min.
After about 15min walking, the more demanding path branches off to the left, which is somewhat shorter.
Otherwise, even the "more demanding path" in dry conditions isn't particularly difficult.

On Sunday, March 8th we headed up Krainersteig towards P. Storžič, but didn't reach the top. Warm weather was the cause of sinking up to the knees (and more). We turned back at 1650 m.a.s.l.

On the fifth picture of course it's not Triglav but the Košuta ridge. Sorry for the mistake.
This must be Triglav1

On Sunday 22 March we headed again towards P.Storžič. This time on the normal-easier path. And again we stopped at around 1600 meters up to our knees in snow.
Well now at least we know why no one goes up (no tracks on the second part of the path, markings mostly under snow). In short the path is not trodden, orientation by markings difficult. The only option is snowshoes. LP. See you in summer.nasmeh

I've never seen anything like that here; it looks like a llama (you were just joking if it's Peru)....; I believe you took it here, but what is this beast called??

This animal definitely belongs to the llama genus, where besides the llama (largest and domesticated) there are also alpaca and vicuna. I'd say it's a llama used in the Andes for carrying loads, shorn like a sheep and used for meat. Belongs to the camel family.

Yes that's (at least I think so) regular llama. And that's nothing special. What all people have at home (pythons, chameleons...), I think the llama feels good on Jezersko.
6ar, don't tease the girl with some Pristovski chamoisnasmeh. Someone might really believe itvelik nasmeh.

Miha, you two had nice weather.
I had rather bad (low clouds, rain, snow and strong wind), but for extremists no obstacles.
But I really need to go up there once in summer.
Greetings to all.
Marko.
