No snow at all, the most "annoying" for someone is crossing the scree after descending the ladder into the gully (there on the approach to Hudičev steber). Although I think there are now enough degrees for easier orientation nasmeh

Very nice contribution and photo report on the renovation process of Hanzova pot on Prisojnik. It looks phenomenal and I'm quite sorry that I'll never see it or walk/climb it zadrega

On Friday I went up Prisojnik via Hanzova pot. The path is newly renovated, so the fixed protection and markers are in good condition. Most of the path was in shade, even though I was hiking around noon. Some parts were wet, although there was no rain in the days before. As others have written, no snow patches left. That scree is very steep, but it was possible to cross it without issues following the steps made in it. When I got there, a rock hit pretty hard somewhere nearby.

The path was generally pleasant, livened up by some very steep ascents with cables, and quite a bit of free climbing on rocks. I'd say the latter is more demanding than on other hiking paths I've been on, and somewhat exposed in places. Luckily the rock there is quite compact. I didn't notice any really nasty loose sections (there are some screes of course, but not really bothersome). Beautiful views accompanied the whole path.

Didn't meet anyone on the way up, but about ten people at the summit. Parking lots were almost full.

Hello,

Yesterday I went from Vršič to Prisojnik via the ridge path. Crampons and ice axe mandatory gear. Up to where the grass ends the snow was dry and it went without crampons. From the lower window onwards the ridge is partly frozen, snowy and rocky, so be careful. Weather was gorgeous and just cold enough. Some pics below

Today I set out on the ridge path to Prisojnik, but a bit before the first summit in the ridge I turned back due to brutal wind gusts.

On the way back I met two hikers who had just come through the window and asked them about conditions on the Kopiščarjeva path. They say there's no more snow on it. But mapzs.pzs.si still says it's closed due to "large amount of snow on the path".

Lots of traffic all the way from Kranjska Gora but somehow in the afternoon at Vršič still got a bit of space to squeeze in a smaller car. Up the ridge, warm all the time. Some were still coming down that late. Last ones met above the window. Rocks are polished in places by hikers, you don't know if new hobnails will grip or not, scree is polished too. Summit logbook at the top. Warm at the top too. Descent via south path, which is a long descent and you have to be careful all the time. Arrived at Vršič around 20 o'clock and still plenty of people cooling off....and cows blocked traffic lower down.

Today up Kopiščarjeva and down Slovenski dol.
Path without special features. No crowds or jams at the climbing section at our time (yet?). nasmeh

Under the window of course watch for rockfall.

Me and my buddy were fairly early and had great views. Calm all the way. Quite some visitors at the top. One family came up from Hanzova. Without winter gear, they say the snow patch has shrunk enough that bypassing below isn't too problematic. Emphasize they looked above average athletic, so for someone else the same claim about non-problematic bypass might not hold. Just passing on what they said.

Descent via Slovenski is personally great for me. On the way back met quite some hikers pushing up without proper gear.

If you look at it a bit more from above, it winks at you ;)

It's always interesting to look from afar where the path leads next.

...and then even greater joy when you get such views upon exit.

November PRISANK – from the south - sunny side,

while in the north walls it's icy in the morning, frozen and you can see ice stalactites here and there, but the mountain from the south side shows a completely different and friendly face, visited it up the ridge and down the Slovenian path, just right difficulty for this late autumn time. velik nasmeh

We also witnessed the sight of new asphalt on the road at the top of Vršič pass, shame again one thoughtless and unfinished thing that they'll charge visitors for in the future, currently a rough layer of asphalt is laid which will surely bloom or disintegrate over winter till summer, and they haven't even cleared the remains of stones and sand from roadwork. Surely renovating Vršič road would be more needed in some middle blocky bends than at the top where no added value is seen, anyway with this arrangement there will be fewer parking spots too. jezen

I agree about the road. Some asphalt laid from Gorenjska direction, then old, then a bit new again. Many sections from Gorenjska direction much more in need of renovation than this one. But we all know, it's not about renovation it's about reducing parking spots so the remaining ones can be charged expensively. Glad you got a parking spot, even gladder that you made it to the pass via the forest road at all. Well the pontoon bridge at Koča na gozdu is finally gone.

During the ascent to Montaž it grabbed him and since this weekend was weather-wise favorable to the mountains we went up the sunny side over the ridge to Prisank. Temperatures at Vršič were zero, the higher we climbed the warmer it got. The path was great, the window with its size enchanted us, belays ok, snow just enough to make a mini snowman. At the top balm for soul and eyes. Views great, below the mists made a sea. At the top we met Silvester and Ivan too, very pleasant company with whom we returned to the starting point. Considering winter is really at the door now we maybe used the last-minute ascent without snow which we're not yet skilled in. Silvester and Ivan, thanks again for company, food and drink and chat which I hope to repeat soon.
