Prevalski Stog, Adam and Eva

He, he, this year's weather isn't going my way. For Thursday, 24 November, mixed weather was forecasted for western Slovenia, meaning some sun too, and afternoon clouding over. I took time off because the weekend was supposed to be worse, and from Planina Blato via Laza to Mišelj vrh. I started in the dark, fog below, nothing in between, cloudy above. From Lazoviški preval, Triglav was still visible, then clouds started descending. Midway up to the goal, a snowstorm pours in, I hurry only to the ridge, document with photos what was still visible, postpone the summit for another try and head back so I don't struggle on the snow-covered slope. The storm stops, but repeats several times on the return. Chamois like leaves, nice views of Škednjevec, Stoge, Ograde and Krstenica.
Yesterday the tour would certainly have been much nicer. I'll return in better weather, if possible for several days to cover everything possible in the Bohinj mountains.
Best regards and happy trails to everyone, S

"Serznoz", don't regret at all not having had ideal weather, there's always something nice. See, you mention chamois like leaves, for us there were "only" five, nice fat ones with nice white rear.

Returning to these areas is never wasted time, I've been doing it for years.

Best wishes, Saša

Given the quite pleasant weather forecast, today I decided on a somewhat varied tour. I started from Pl. Blato to Pl. Krstenica, then to the summit of Adam, to Evevelik nasmeh, Prevalski Stog and on the return also Jezerski Stog.
Weather sunny in the morning, changeable in the afternoon but still quite OK. Path dry and very good, snow only in shady hollows off the path. Wind almost none, a little on the ridges. Flowers in abundance! In the hunting hut there was a gentleman with whom I chatted a bit. He had a dog too, still locked up and only its barking could be heard. No soul on Krstenica. Below Prevalski Stog I met two hikers and that's all the people I met. A tour I'll definitely repeat sometimenasmeh
For those who don't know yet: the road from the Vogar turnoff toward the parking under Pl. Blato is now almost entirely asphalted – only about 200 m of gravel remains.

Yesterday was a wonderful day, cloudless and exceptionally warm. The larches have already shed their needles, but it was still wonderful..!
I'm wondering if a passage is possible from Prevalski Stog directly along the ridge to Jezerski Stog?

In that direction you mentioned - ridge from Prevalski to Jezerski, nice Adam and Eve in between, below them a nice deep hollow (wall), so usually the path is done in the opposite direction, with the note that that ascent due to exposure is not for everyone.
If you master it, descending from Eve is also possible, ... but for the descent very recommended belay!

Picture 3 is a bit misleading, as it is rotated 90 degrees.

Mrki, maybe picture No. 3 is now more understandable.

Access to Prevalski stog is also possible on the eastern side of Eve. There are more variants, you come out around the lowest point of the ridge between Eve and Prevalski stog (4th picture @alyas). Difficulties are concentrated somewhere in the last ten meters below the ridge, so descent with belaying here might be less demanding. But surely you need to search for the passage from below beforehand.

Please, can someone tell me what the road to planina Blato is like? Up to where is it drivable without chains?

On Sunday 20.12. the road from Stara Fužina was first dry, then increasingly icy, but gritted and it went relatively well with winter tires...right in the tricky ascent we suddenly hit a completely smooth thick icy surface.
On descent from the hills we noticed that our section had already been sanded, a bit higher up another car was slipping on smooth ice and they were spinning like stuntmen.
I assume they were just gritting, in my opinion up to the turn-off for Vogar...
We walked about 2km to the starting point of pl. Blato on heavily icy road.
Maybe someone can provide fresher info.
