@georgia, I would advise you as you wrote, so first to Krems, then past all the benches to Baba. On the ridge you can then decide if you go to Potoška and Jav. vrh too, it's possible. Maybe even just to Potoška so you don't make a detour to Jav. vrh and then back from the other side of Potoška to make it circular, and you reach the cabin under Baba and then descent to Čemšenik.
For Jav. vrh I suggest the path past Krems to Škrbina and over Slaparjeva gora to Jav. vrh, it's an interesting ridge path, well trodden, otherwise unmarked but direction really hard to miss  If you want more, you can also PM, I'm quite familiar with these areas

Thanks for the answers, can't wait for spring to explore this loop! Until now we always drove past the starting point further to Jezersko and just wondered where you can go up from here, now it happened that we inquired a bit.

Georgia, then definitely stop by Irena's hut for something good to eat, you surely won't regret it, as Čemšenik is famous for excellent and tasty food

We marked Victory Day with a work action on the panoramic trail. We newly arranged the section that runs through the clearing and now the path to the first bench is really nicely set up.

Finally we visited the panoramic trail Čemšenik, admittedly not in spring but yesterday, first Saturday in September when it wasn't hot, sun alternating with clouds.
First to Krems (nothing marked there), where a friendly local directed us to the right path. Further on all junctions are nicely marked. We visited all benches and Baba peak, next time more peaks. Unfortunately Kamniške were in clouds the whole time, views limited. On the whole path from P to Krems past benches all the way to Dom na Čemšeniku we met no one (!). Road has nice asphalt to junction at stream (left Dom, right Krems). Panoramic path/trail occasionally overgrown with grass but we still didn't manage to pick any ticks. From Baba past the cabin quite steep descent to Dom. Maybe next time the reverse route. Of course stopped at Dom where caretakers said surprisingly few visitors yesterday. But we like that. The hut is open on weekends.
In short, interesting, varied and scenic path without crowds. Recommend!
