You weren't there at the right time so we didn't meet mežikanje
But there were some foreigners (family) on Krnčica then and asked if the path we came by (ridge) is easier.

You need to eat a good lunch at home as they don't let us into inns. Then go, also very few or no hikers so late, arrive up after 18.00, day still too long to at least wait for sunset. And drive home much calmer too as 80% less traffic.

Good day! Would kindly ask for information if the trail from Drežniške Ravne to Lopatnik, Skutnik and Krnčica is suitable for a dog. Thank you.

The road to Zapleč is passable. The path to Krnčica is well marked and traceable, same for Lopatnik which is anyway just a few minutes off the path. In the lower part there is some denser and higher grass, higher up no more. To Skutnik the path is more by feel but quite a few cairns placed.

Krnčica - Srednji vrh - Griva - Veliki Lemež - Skutnik - Lopatnik - Oblo Brdo - Vrh Ruš

Start in the morning from Planina Zapleč and then up the peaks in the listed order. The road to the planina is rough and not best suited for low-clearance cars. There are some short concreted sections along the way, and if it were all like that it would be luxury.
It was pretty cold and windy in the morning, but it improved later when I got to the top. The path over Krnčica to Srednji vrh is marked (also further towards Krn). From the ridge I then descend to the left side and go through broken karst terrain to Griva. Here you mainly need to follow military tracks that wind between rocks, sinkholes and fissures. At the top of Griva I decide to try to reach Veliki Lemež too, which I hadn't planned initially. From here you descend pathless to the saddle Čez Potoče. The terrain is similar to what I came via to Griva, only without military tracks so navigation is more demanding. At the saddle I join the path coming from Krnsko jezero direction. From there I climb a poorly visible grassy track to the ridge, which I follow to Veliki Lemež summit. I return the same way past Griva and continue to Skutnik. Then I head to saddle Vrata and walk the opposite ridge direction from morning, so to Lopatnik, Oblo Brdo, Vrh Ruš. Darkness is catching me, so I start zig-zag descent here with headlamp to Planina Zapleč. Morning first arrival, evening last departure nasmeh.

Since excellent weather was forecast for Nov 9 and 10, we decided on a weekend in the mountains. First day aimed at Velika Baba above Krnsko jezero, second day Bavški Grintavec and some peaks around it. Overnight booked in Drežnica as other options nearby were quite full.

In the evening, while checking the map in the apartment, I accidentally discovered interesting peaks nearby. Start in Drežniške Ravne, just 10 min drive away. Since it would be a shame to miss them, we changed plans.

So we started in the morning in Drežniške Ravne and headed to the first peak – Lopatnik. Strong wind on top, but it calmed completely later. Continued to Skutnik on unmarked path, soon a section with easy climbing to the top. From there to Srednji vrh – wonderful path full of WWI remains. After about an hour we turned right onto marked path to Srednji vrh, then further on beautiful marked path to Krnčica.

This was followed by descent to planina and back to car in Drežniške Ravne. Day was wonderful, nature exceptionally beautiful, peak choice excellent. Recommend visiting these places!
