Today we ascended to Krofička from Logarska Dolina. For the ascent we chose the hunting path which goes over Zadnji Travnik, for descent the usual marked path. On ascent we had some trouble as we didn't find the start of the hunting path, it starts about 10 minutes before Škrbina (a cairn which we missed).
Both paths are completely dry, all protections are in good condition except one cable on the hunting path. Lp Esther and Tadej

I have one question: Is there already some new stamp at the summit, since there wasn't one last year??

Yesterday there was a stamp at the summit (next to logbook box on smaller metal pole). Although it looked relatively new, pre-inked with ink, the result on paper was rather poor (only two circles visible).

But that's not true! 29.6. I was at Klemenča jama and new caretaker had stamps on metal pole from Strelovec and Krofička with him. And until today nobody took them up and installed.

On 19.08 I ascended to Krofička, started in the dark (5.00) in Logarska (junction) - Klemenča jama - Krofička and returned on the path that ends at the mountain hut in Logarska. The path is made for loners since except the moon on ascent and chamois above tree line I met nobody.

Yesterday, early morning departure from in front of the mountaineers' house in Logarska valley past the hut at Klemenča jama - direction Krofička. A bit further from the hut, where in summer there is a meadow, now you have to cross the avalanche deposit and already look for the first marks to continue the path; we two went too low into the forest and spent quite some time searching for the right path. Well, then it went smoothly and fast to the junction for Strelovec-Krofička, where snow started again and searching for the right path. Soon crampons, ice axe, helmet were mandatory, since either you cross or go straight up. "Fatal" was the decision at the last visible mark, where we decided to go left as right looked like no passage. Then steep ascent up the gully, which went too much to the left and at the end of that gully nowhere else but right. There we realized not so much altitude-wise - about 100m, but time-wise too far from Krofička  . We were under or near Ut.  Yes, then also the descent, which wasn't pleasant at all as snow started melting and snowballs forming under crampons and at this steepness you don't want to make mistakes. On the way back we also saw where the initial entry over the avalanche deposit into the forest is (a bit below the rocks), then followed rambling and enjoying sunny weather and views on other mountains. Super day!

Has anyone been up there these days? What are the conditions? Is there still any snow?

Today I was almost up. To the turnoff for Strelovec-Krofička the path is dry, further there are some snow patches which are passable without crampons, about 100m before the summit there is a gully where the path is full of hard snow, so crampons and ice axe are needed; I had only the ice axe, so I turned back. Attaching some pics where it is better visible.

Kolesar, yes I remember you, we chatted a bit about noisy alpinists celebration that day at Klemenča... seems mountain peace at huts less and less. Well, maybe meet again. Safe steps and many nice views!

On Saturday I took son a bit to high mountains. We went to Klemenča cave and on to Krofička. He liked the path a lot, especially section with some climbing.

I'm interested in the current conditions on the path to Krofička: is there any snow, how low is the snow, how much there is, and is it suitable to go to the top this Saturday?

I think there's hardly any snow worth mentioning. At least the view from Raduha didn't reveal any special snow conditions!

I also had trouble with orientation on the hunters' path, and the cables on the hunters' path are not in best condition at least where the pegs are pulled out. Otherwise I see nice autumn hikes can still be done, forecast nice for a few more days need to make use, and steady step to all who go to the mountains.
