After last night's storm the path to Planina Osredek is again barely passable. High slip risk.

Did the storm wash away anything on the path past waterfalls, has anyone been?

Morning at 8am -9.5C and high clouds. Snow cover height around average 30cm.
Path done without issues. Crampons stayed in packs. Waterfalls not as frozen as on 28.1.2017 when last here.
Whole path in 4 hours 30min. Partly marked, partly our way. Finally sun peeked from clouds and warmed cold fingers. Nice walk and of course earned beer from local Kamnik brewery - Mali Grad

Geppo, wonderful winter tour and photos. Number 13 catches my eye the most. There instead of "Interior of the bivouac ..." I would write "Interior of the pigsty ...." Lp eek

14.1.2022 Koroša Waterfalls, Kamniški Peak
At parking lot-Klemenčevo morning -6°C. Climbing from one waterfall to another warms me up soon. Gloves, hat, fleece I pack into backpack. Into the gorge stones soon start flying!!! Sun and thermal inversion warm the south-facing walls. Falling stones chase me from the gorge to sunny and warm ridge.
During snack on ridge before Planina Osredek acquaintance catches up and we continue part of ascent together.
Views are wonderful, no rush today. At Kamniški Peak thermometer shows +21°C. Descent not too muddy and I descend to start without issues. I meet more and more hikers. Sun lured them from fog to warm meadows of Kamniški Peak. Back at parking +1°C.
Expected more ice in gorge.

Some are descending, others are ascending

On Kamniški vrh the thermometer shows 21 C

I hope that it won't happen to him like to Icarus

Again I approach the gorge of the Korošak stream and the circular path will be completed

Sales on trust have been operating for quite some years

13.2.2023 Kamniški Peak and Koroša Waterfalls
Morning -3°C, sunny morning. We started waterfalls from beginning and were mostly ascent to P. Osredek in the gully. Not too icy and at times icy, rocky projectiles flew into gully. We carried crampons and used them at one spot. We dug steps in ice to get above waterfall. Before end of gully where it splits left and right we climbed to ridge dividing gully. Water flow in upper part not strong and mostly hidden under ice cover. There we found nice trail leading to Planina Osredek. Before that we worked hard.
Here short snack and then continue to Kamniški Peak. Path trodden and if on path no sinking. Off path yes. Day sunny and warm, on ridge SW wind. On return already melting.

Today nice circular path past Korošak Waterfall, Planina Osredek and along ridge over Planjava near Kamniški Peak to Kamniški Peak. Path itself without special features.

Yesterday I used the day to explore new paths in my beloved hill.

Start at bridge at turnoff to village Slevo, continue on established path along stream towards waterfall valley. The world is significantly changed after August 2023, as huge fallen trees and piled stones indicate.

At 800 m I head into valley towards headwaters of Korošak stream and thus leave the well-trodden path to Planina Osredek. After few minutes reach waterfall, where faint path on left side leads one level higher. Tip - indistinct "little ridge" in middle of slope offers real steps leading further above very wet and slippery drop. Definitely most adrenaline-pumping part of path.

Turn right above waterfall and from there follow by feel along ridge on right bank of stream (looking downstream). Soon step on more trodden path, which landslide carried away just where I thought difficulties end.

From here much easier and when cross stream and climb to left bank (looking downstream) the steeply ascending path brings me to Planina Osredek. Continue along ridge over Planjava and further over Kamniški Peak towards Hudega konca. At next - smaller peak at 1140 m turn to initially faint path, which becomes more and more traceable and traversing meadows brings me to ruined hut.

From here continue along ridge to hunting hut and from it straight down ridge to pasture fence (I think for deer), where step hits road leading to Slevo. Then easy walk along road to car and loop closed.

By the waterfall left upward into wet and slippery world

Up here. Higher straight smooth rock, higher left wet steep grass, slightly to the left “mini ridge” - that one is right.

Straight no go, along the left ridge though.

View of the upper part above the waterfall. The path goes left upwards.

When we cross the stream bed here “we have won”.

At the path branch while crossing the meadows, view towards Kamniški vrh.

It's really beautiful and solitary. Now that the difficulties and tricky spots are known, it'll be easier to repeat.

I was just thinking while hiking how long nature will still allow people to walk this path. Especially when I saw the avalanche on Osredak from another perspective and realized at the top of the path that the top of the approach ridge between the left and right stream branches is actually the start of the avalanche...

Otherwise, a bit higher and a bit back behind the ridge, there are very interesting options calling for new explorations mežikanje

Time to try to catch up and nail some tour together. mežikanje
