Yesterday afternoon via hunting path to Kalška gora, path without features, return via saddle back to valley. Caution is not superfluous on return from saddle, because there are huge amounts of leaves in the forest and it is quite slippery.
Past the hunting cabin1
You encounter quite a few here too :)2

Today via the abandoned ferrata to the summit. Descent via the hunter's trail back to Konec.
On the ferrata most of the remaining pegs are OK and where needed. You can climb without using them too, but much harder. Anyway, since it's a climbing route (Levstek-Zupet III/II from 1949) it is accordingly demanding.mežikanje
Weather, company... all super.nasmeh

The entry into the route is above the marked path1
Remains of sawn-off steel cables2
The only snow patch, which we bypassed by climbing on the right side3

Descent might be more demanding, because you need to cross some slabs which are piled up, but for up no major issues. You know, carefully then it goes. nasmeh

From Žagana peč, along the hunting trail to Kalška gora. Down past the hut at Kokrsko sedlo. Path without features, for someone going first time, harder to follow at some spots. Hut at the saddle being renovated. Almost no snow left on shady side. Nice weather, when I got to Kam. Bistrica, it poured like from a bucket. In Stahovica already sun.

Yesterday I did the Žagana peč - Kalška gora path. The path is nicely followable, but on Kalcih you need to watch a bit more; otherwise just up until you reach the marked path going across. It was cloudy at first, but later the weather cleared and it was hot. Descent to Kokrsko sedlo and later back to the starting point before the storm nasmeh

This week we stayed overnight at Kokrsko sedlo. First day after dinner Kalška gora tempted us. The path now routed so much around didn't appeal much, so we climbed straight through the north wall, on the easier part where difficulties were around I-II all the time (otherwise quite exposed). Nice evening on top, full of beautiful flowers and when daily noise around quiets down a lot.

Yesterday on a multi-hour tour starting at planina Jezerce, over Kriška planina to Krvavec summit - first stamp, then over planina Dolge njive to sedlo Škrbina, from there over Kalcev to Kalška gora - second stamp, then over entire Kalški greben to its summit - third stamp, then to Vrh Korena - fourth stamp, over greben Ježe to Veliki Zvoh - fifth stamp. Weather not really warm - a bit windy in places and views were superb. I try to do this tour every year if I manage.

Today again up the abandoned via ferrata to the top, but in completely different conditions than last time.
Fog and slight drizzle made the tour even more interesting, or rather more demanding. mežikanje
Descent via normal route past the hut to Suhadolnik.
Road from bottom junction being fixed, higher under Suhadolnik quite torn up due to timber hauling. Car was really complaining...zadrega

Many years ago a secured climbing path led to Kalška gora. It started a bit above Cojzova hut, but later they removed the cable and pegs. Mostly only the older ones know about it anymore. In terms of exposure it was very close to a via ferrata, but not equipped with cable from start to end.

Not that I'm emotionally attached to Kalška gora, but on Saturday I left a nice piece of rope in the wall and felt bad leaving it up there. What can I say... savinjčan.velik nasmeh
