Since crossing municipal borders within the region is possible, Golte is getting a very large number of visits. How not, when they are so beautiful.
No crowds only early morning or if you go to observe sunrise. nasmeh

Winter on Golte is still quite pampering us this year. From beautiful sunrises, skiing on virgin powder, skinning and much much more beautiful things.

Winter on Golte is slowly departing. Shame that the fire destroyed our favorite mountain hut.
Nature on Golte remains wonderful despite that and invites us up there.
Paths are mostly dry already.

There comes a moment when you wish time could go back a second, a minute, so everything returns to original state. Sadly it doesn't work, though we sometimes wish it. Janez, we wish you successful recovery!!!

The injuries that hit me last year have greatly marked my life. That I survived the first one I owe to the quick action of Mozirje rescuers and my personal doctor who prepared me for helicopter transport to the clinic.
When after a month I thought I was past the worst, due to a medical error my femur spiraled and broke. Recovery became a real nightmare. Many tough moments, but encouraging words from many mountain buddies, family and others helped when I was often mentally at the end.
Neža, Jasna, Lučka, Alenka, Lidija, Katja, Marija, Antonija, Ana, Tonika, Darja, Martina, Darinka, Nina, Majda, Helena, Jasna,..., Sašo, Zdravko, Zlatko, Dani, Jože, Armando, Drago, Ivo, Igor, Bojan, Boštjan, Božo, Mitja, Marinko, Edi,..., Vanda and Vinko, Alenka and Vinko, Viki and Mojca, David and Mojca,..., heartfelt thanks for all the encouragement that was so welcome and needed.
My great love for mountains and my home hill Golt helped me endure it all. Right after spa I started going to Golte. To date after injury I've been up there 92 times. At first 51 times with crutches, which are very useful in hills too. Some looked at me weirdly. Fewer hard moments and now I look positively to future. Haven't said last word to hills and hope for joint trips.

Currently on Golte conditions dry-winter. South side paths mostly dry, summit plateau and back still snowy. Icy on paths too. Small crampons very handy.

Once I thought JTroger was one of those who left this forum, since there were no more posts. It was hard for me, but I thought everyone can do their own thing, as they think.

I didn't think of the accident though, so Janez, I wish you the quickest possible return to the old paths, those therefore which you had to leave for a while. It's important that you were given the chance to return again.

Today after a long time again with Janez criss-cross over the Golte. Tirske peči-Lopna peč-Medvedjak-Golte hotel-Javorca-Okno-Mesarska lopa, roughly like that went today's route. Of course there were lots of detours for local curiosities velik nasmeh

On Golte it's always nice, especially the wilderness at Tirske peči and views from Lop always fascinate me.
