Hudi Prask and Mrzla Gora

I haven't gone via the right entry yet!
But the left one is also getting smoother and smoother; it seems to me more so than years ago. There is still scree on it and you have to watch out.

Today with a friend over Hudi Prask to the summit of Mrzla Gora. Descent to Okrešelj.
For entry into the route we used the left approach. No sense wasting words on the load in Hudi Prask.mrk pogled

Congratulations. I will also take Hudi Prask sometime; it's still missing for me. Otherwise Mrzla Gora is a very good tour for a cool head.

Yesterday, on Saturday (31.8.), I set off through Hudi Prask to Mrzla Gora. I've been planning this for a long time since every year I write on a piece of paper the peaks where I haven't been yet and the paths I haven't taken yet. Yesterday I felt ready and completed the tour very successfully. Maybe I took a bit longer due to photographing and admiring the views since the weather was fantastic. I entered through the left gully which seems a shade easier to me than the right entrance. Hudi Prask itself is just "hudi": arduous progress towards the summit on scree, but it goes. When the terrain became very steep I continued a bit higher, a little too much, since I then had to descend to the cairn and to the left. I pushed through the brush, then it gets easier. Short stop with a view of Okrešelj where it was quite lively and noisy - work action - construction of a new GRS shelter. I continued up the next gully where I climbed the left side in compact rock. Exit and towards the four-sided tower along a partly visible path. At the tower I went left and again struggle with the brushvelik nasmeh. I spot a path on the other side, descend through the gully to some kind of notch, left down around the rock slowly since everything is scree-covered, and I'm already on the vast meadows from which it's just to the top of the ridge. I whoopvelik nasmeh and descend to Latvica, traverse towards Lady Mrzla to which I arrive in about 45 min, since I know the path from last year. There were quite a few of us on the summit. I stayed for a whole hour which flies by since the views were magnificent. Follows the descent to Okrešelj. Super tour that gives you a new experience and a test when you get to know yourself even better. More on the blog and in the video.

Has anyone been to Mrzla gora via Hudi prask recently who has info on snow conditions on the route? Thanks and best regards.

Through Hudi prask I went on 19.6.2014. Before the entrance to the wall there was a snow patch and also in the gully. A month later probably already without snow, except in Latvica. I'm attaching some pics. Good luck!

Today via Hudi Prask to the top. Descent via "secured" to Okrešelj.
There was just enough snow to cause trouble on the descent. mrk pogled

Hudi Prask is a pristine approach to Mrzla gora, where you can easily get badly scratched. Probably where it gets its name from velik nasmeh.

Šodra is indeed via gullies for logging, untouched world, wild, plenty of chamois looking at you surprised. No markings of course, no cairns except rare exceptions, traces of predecessors are very few. Not much visited here. Access mostly via gullies, sometimes left, sometimes right and so on. For now all passable, small rockfalls don't hinder progress.

For lovers of (almost) pathless terrain nasmeh

If you spot this marker you are on the right path.7
Most of the ascent goes through narrow, dark gullies. But the shade was welcome :).8

Often a sense for progression is needed. There are almost no footholds.10
From gully to gully.11
Scree is a staple of this path. Watch out so no one behind gets hit by falling stones.12
Also over grass and scrub.13
Here a surprised chamois almost ran into us. No time for a photo.14

Nice. There are quite a few traces of predecessors. Probably enjoyed it so much they didn't notice. This passage is quite visited, the ridge from Matkovo okno less so.

Around 7am we started towards Okrešelj and up towards Hudi Prask. Roughly to the scree and then up the left side. This part is tough, holds and steps are so-so. There followed a long ascent up the gully slightly rightwards. Almost to the top of the ridge, then left across to the gully that goes right again up. Then traversing under the ridge to the wide grassy gully (very demanding). On the ridge, right of the bushy tip a descent and via the marked path to the top of Mrzla gora. We descended via the marked path back to Okrešelj and into the valley. We climbed slowly and carefully, the descent likewise. Lots of people though.

Then traverse under the ridge, rocky summit, right of it a short easy descent.4

Hudi Prask/Mrz.gora - roasting to Mrzli vrh (19.07.18)

It was a beautiful morning. Enough said about Hudi Prask. The last part before the ladder might be a bit orientationally tricky for first-timers here. At 7am I was at the top of Mrzla gora. Descend and continue along the crumbly ridge to Mrzli vrh. I'd rate crumbly II. From Savinjsko sedlo back to the valley and to work.

Dejan, do you have any pics from the approach to Mrzli vrh? I was up and down from Savinjsko sedlo last time and curious about the traverse.
Otherwise, congrats on the tour.

Surely better in that direction, going from that side like I did and moving towards Savinjsko sedlo. In the opposite direction the descents would be a bit more awkward. No extra photos. Somehow the path is traceable or where you can go there's path. There are two such interesting ledges. You have in the photo.
Good luck
