SamoK that's right, sometimes you notice the nail dangling on its own. Annoying thing And you won't just walk in the boots and stretch them...

They don't pinch anywhere, and the nail doesn't "rub" against the shoe. It just blisters on the underside of the big toe, everything else is fine. Left foot has been cool since day one.

As said before, feet are often slightly different. Shoes must be such that they are comfortable for both, not just one, get used to it.

And how is anyone supposed to know before buying if it'll be comfortable or not? Anyway it's comfortable, just occasionally blisters a bit on descent. Maybe depends on socks too, not just the shoe..

Also from socks. It's smart to buy in shops with a test trail. Otherwise check ads, you'll see how many get ru...

Kleemen, at least for myself I can admit I went through a hard school - quite a few shoes and lots of terrain hiked - before I learned. Anyway, don't try to adapt feet to shoes!

It is possible that the big toe blistering will pass. When going downhill, try with a slightly less tightened shoe.

Quite the opposite, more, not less!

With more yes, so the foot doesn't slide forward.

I tested them before buying for a few minutes in the store + on the test trail up and down. Then at home wore them for a couple of hours around the house, because the store said if they're not cool I can bring them back if only used at home first day. Otherwise all fine, even walking flat or uphill all cool, problem only on descent and even then feel nothing, when taking them off I have a small blister on big toe.

Just don't take them off?

If that's the case, I really can't see what the problem is.

Today I removed additional VCP insole from boots and gained about half a size bigger boot. Still got small blister on descent, same as before with extra insole. So boot size obviously isn't the problem. Between toes and front of boot at least half a cm if not a full cm of space, which seems enough. Doesn't press anywhere. So I don't know what the problem could be. Too hard Alpine insole? Or too thin socks?

Now that there's no end, I'm really curious: what actually bothers you? Nothing hurts, nothing disturbs while walking ... So why discuss at all? Because a tiny blister appears that you didn't even notice forming, since nothing bothers you during the walk? If I understand this ...

Klemen just walk normally! Doctor recommended that to me for injury 3 weeks ago, couldn't even step on foot due to pain, but good for small blister too.

Grega, you've successfully rehabbed Klemen. Now probably playing soccer already.

Yeah, wondering why I get a blister in the same spot after every hike. Doesn't bother me on shorter ones either, more worried it'll be bigger problem on longer hike, that's why I asked what could be the problem. Assuming socks, cuz don't know what else. Or maybe not toughened feet, tho doubt it since I hike at least 2x weekly.

Klemen try it and you'll see... Maybe you'll suffer a bit. Eventually it'll stop. And carry plasters with you
