Debela peč and Brda

On Saturday, due to the forecasted terrible afternoon thunderstorms, I decided on "pensioners'" mountains (according to Primož). By the way, I didn't know that retirees have their own mountains... zmeden

Well, to be in the valley already in the forenoon, I chose a shortcut, and from Kovinarska koča hiked the nice hunting trail to the wall of Debela peč, there at the memorial to the unfortunate alpinist to the right... over a few gullies into the right gully upward mežikanje

... orientation is not too difficult, practically you go where it is easiest and... where some new cairns "help" you: mežikanje

... in the last part, three not too difficult steps await me (I read somewhere up to II)... and already with a painful left ankle and right knee I am limping (maybe arthrosis zmeden

) along the marked path toward Debela peč,... Okroglež, Brdo,... since nothing indicated the promised thunderstorms, I circled a few more summits,... returned, and via Kovinarska descended to Kovinarska with long gulps... jezik

Yesterday we went to Debela peč via Medvedova konta and Blejska koča. Weather was gorgeous. Quite a few hikers.

Note: Before Blejska koča where it turns towards Brdo and Debela peč someone stuck empty Union can in cow dung... I think...

Take stamp pad with you because the one at top is dry and unusable. There is stamp for Debela peč also at Blejska koča.

Snow up to 20 cm, views icy, wind too. Nice tour for accustoming to snow conditions. zavijanje z očmi

Cold morning. The main thing is that the heart is warm.

The summit of Debela peč is almost dome-shaped. Spihana, in reality.

The most beautiful deserves its own photo, I suppose

As a beginner, this view enchanted me. It still does.

There was enough snow for a quick descent.

Like a sunbeam in the midst of whiteness. Almost like me.

Yes, just as Lidija says, wonderful in this part, a day for wonderful photos, although on top of Debela peči it was blowing downright impudently.

Yesterday my brother and I were at Debela peč. We started from hotel Šport and went past planina Javornik (Zajavornik?) towards Blejska koča na Lipanci. There a friendly caretaker served us and after a half-hour break and a short chat with a younger couple who stayed overnight in the hut, we headed to the summit. According to the logbook, we were the first yesterday at the top of Debela peč. On the descent we then met quite a few hikers (a few dozen). Views along the whole path were fantastic, snow was only in patches, just a sample, the wind generally blew a bit stronger, as our meteorologists predicted. If there hadn't been wind, the day could be called kitschy smile

In the morning I do a loop in this nice late autumn weather, start from Medvedova konta past Blejska koča over Okrogljež where I also experience wonderful sunrise and continue to Debela peč and from it over Brda, Lipanski vrh, Mrežce and back to Blejska koča bathed in sun and already quite a few visitors.
Wonderful tour.

Today there were winter conditions on Debela peč, but not a winter fairytale. From Javornik to Lipance the path is just sprinkled, further towards the summit there is 5 to 10 cm of powder, which on the old base offers excellent walking. Fog partly cleared under Okrogljež, where a strong southwest wind was blowing, which accompanied me to the top and then also on Brda. Still a great tour.
