Today from Savica over Komna to Bogatinsko sedlo. Path nice (thanks especially to skiers), doesn't sink, only on the last steep part under the saddle it sinks a bit. Hikers don't need snowshoes. At the saddle it was blowing hard, conditions for Bogatin were very demanding (one mountaineer said it was moving him a bit on the ridge under the summit part).

Today I was at Lanževica. Path to Bogatinsko sedlo was really still hard in the morning, but once the sun warmed it, probably not anymore. Especially the slopes under Sr. Vrh get wet quickly. Ski track is quite narrow there in some places and slippery when it melts. Otherwise the ski track also goes through the valley (at the second winter marker it turns off the mule track).
Towards Lanževica I went partly with snowshoes, partly with crampons. Below the summit it was quite icy, ski track too narrow for snowshoes. I descended via Lepa Komna. Over the first steep part up top frozen, then dry snow that punched through quite a bit even under snowshoes. Further in the valley under snowshoes the ski track still hard. Besides two skiers, one hiker went up via Lepa Komna, followed by three more skiers. In my opinion better to go down via Lepa Komna than up. Without snowshoes or skis I wouldn't venture there. Better from Bogatinsko sedlo with crampons, as the path was very hard.
Today it was like that due to strong wind that was still scouring the ridge in the morning and low temperature. Tomorrow probably different.

Today on Komna a day for the gods. Already the path to Komna was very pleasant, smoothed by skiers, just hard enough that crampons for the ascent weren't needed. Then we headed towards Bogatinsko sedlo, but so the path wouldn't be entirely ordinary, we returned via Gracija valley, so thanks to Suzana for mentioning this option. Through that valley with snowshoes, on skiers' tracks. Full enjoyment!

6.-7.4. Friday and Saturday nicely spent days on Komna and above it. On Friday due to morning obligations later start at Savica, after good two hours already sunbathing on the sunny terrace of the hut on Komna. After cooling and refreshment we put on snowshoes and headed to Bogatinsko sedlo, conditions good for walking with snowshoes and the made path helped us on Saturday morning so we went without snowshoes to Bogatinsko sedlo, there we put on crampons and ice axe in hand and stepped onto Bogatin, snow hard and good for walking. From the top we descended to the saddle between Bogatin and Mahavšček but didn't decide for the latter because the ridge was too loaded with snow and we chose to traverse under Bogatin to Mali Bogatin and descent to the saddle. When we were descending from the saddle the first ski tourers were coming, there were many on Saturday, but we enjoyed the solitude in the morning. Then descent to Dom na Komni for refreshment then slowly to the valley, weather two days for gods.

Today I set out from the Koča pri Savici to Komna, intending to climb to Bogatinsko sedlo. Firm snow cover starts after the end of the serpentines, nice path to the hut. Continued with snowshoes. No sinking, but due to extreme heat turned back in Gracija valley below Bogatinsko sedlo. It's noticeable we're already end of April, sun has more power, so for winter tour need to wait for significant cooling or snow melt - at the hut still about a meter and a half.

Yesterday my colleague and I did the route Koča pri Savici - Dom na Komni - Koča pod Bogatinom - Bogatinsko sedlo - Krnsko jezero - Dom Klement Juga. It was a beautiful day, not too hot, just right for walking. On the path, except foreigner in flip-flops jezen
