Drago, I must thank you for those shoes (your post on "hribi.net" some time ago) I didn't know them before and tried many models of various renowned brands.

Drago, I thank you too, I found your post the same. I've done many tours with them, good, soft for tired veterans' legs. Bought them in Domžale, I have spares too. Not for wet conditions, they soak through quickly. Cheap, not flashy in color, who cares. Important what's in the shoes and that I can walk in them. Thanks again and safe travels in pathless terrain, I've mostly covered all. Regards!

May they serve you both well further. For me in summer (low and high) they've served almost 20 years. No blisters with any model, durable, reliable, affordable, but as predecessor wrote, not for wet.

Well, now those Grisport shoes tempt me too. Where can I buy them?

It is possible to buy them also in some "agricultural" shops, e.g....in Šoštanj. Regina

Haven't worn it, but it looks quite good, comfortable, for easier and medium-difficult hikes in dry weather. Maybe try it in the store to see if it fits you. Regards

Hi, I've found some info on the web already, but I can't decide or rather it's hard for me to throw the shoes away. On nearly 10-year-old Alpina shoes the sole peeled off or the PU material started crumbling, so it can't be glued, theoretically new soles could be fitted. But I haven't found much info on price and if it's possible only through Alpina. Does anyone have info? Has anyone done this at a shoemaker? I've been to one already and he said no, but it seemed they don't deal with hiking shoes so maybe he didn't want to. I probably didn't "maintain" the shoes well, didn't wear them long and lately walked a few days after rains, heh.

I also had the same issues this summer - detached sole. I went personally to Alpina Žiri - their store, if it could be restored, but nothing came of it. They explained the sole is injection-molded onto the shoe and not glued so they can't fit new soles. Even though the shoes are completely intact and great for walking, they're now unusable. Since it was sale time and some "cosmetic" discount, I just bought new ones.

Oh, thanks. I see the prices too. Probably doesn't pay off already because of that, since the shoes are old. The shoemaker was probably right.

Alpina has hiking footwear reduced by 50%. So Tibet comes to just around 100 euros. Got some.

Great if they suit you, for me they're nothing special, well depends which model you got. Checked the discount today. Heavy on the feet. Cheers!

We've always worn Alpina hiking and ski boots in the family. A month ago bought low ones (tropez) for myself, very comfortable. Wasn't paying attention in the store, at home realized made in china. Then learned that Alpina no longer services shoes. So now it doesn't matter which brand I buy
