Spring Crocus (Crocus vernus)
Description:
The spring crocus is recognized by its violet to white-violet flower. The stemless flower can be observed from March to May in most of Slovenia. In the hills it starts sprouting immediately after the snow melts. The flower center is bright yellow, attracting pollinators and can be larger than the perianth leaves.
