Sveta Marjeta (Ritoznoj)

Description of church:
The Church of St. Marjeta, first mentioned in sources as early as 1542, adorns the world of vineyards in Ritoznoj.
Externally, the structure is simple, with the octagonal belfry standing out. The interior boasts high-quality Baroque architecture and paintings.
The painting program is linked to peasant work and life, primarily vineyards and the church's patron saint.
From the valley, there is a magnificent view of the peak, dominated by this mighty church. On the panoramic platform right next to the church, a beautiful vista unfolds over Slovenska Bistrica and its surroundings, as well as the Ložniška and Dravinjska valleys. There is also a very fine view of the Haloze foothills and Boč, including the Konjice hills.
