Description:
The Überraschung is a small forepeak of the Traunstein, accessible via the Kaltenbachwildnis and the Zierlersteig. The spectacular location, the wonderful view (on one side to the Traunstein, on the other over the entire Traunsee) and the ascent via a relatively little-used trail to the Traunstein make the Überraschung a very rewarding summit that no lover of the region should miss.
