You find yourself in another world when reaching the 4000m mark, at least that's how I feel.....much higher, much farther, much more imposing..... Imposing glacier worlds and abysses open up here. We want to acclimatize, so we choose the easier 4000er - Lagginhorn! You can even reach this mountain glacier-free. The altitude makes itself felt, some panting.....a bit of headache is nothing unusual ;-) Unfortunately, it doesn't clear up at the summit, on the contrary, we're surprised by snowflakes :-) with such high mountains and panorama all around, it's really a huge shame! But well, that's how it is in the mountains. We console ourselves that we're here to acclimatize....so after a short break, we descend again. Such descents can really drag on.....and it's fun when you also sprint to catch the last cable car.
