I have never been to the Riesengebirge before and start my premiere with a tour to the highest mountain in Czechia, Schneekoppe. It starts at Erlebachbaude above Spindlermühle. Here a road leads to a narrower hiking trail. On both sides, the path is framed by pines. It's raining heavily. Puddles form on the ground between large stones and root clusters. Again and again, snow fields have to be crossed. No wonder, we are already above 1,000 meters.
