The fantastic “La Face Via Ferrata” on the Moléson, near Gruyères is the better (and harder) of the 2 climbs up the mountain. Starting at 1518m and finishing at 2002m summit, most of the climb is cabled and varies from easy to very difficult. A few overhangs up the course are mangeable, at the end of the course however there are 2 alternative routes as the last overhang is more tricky. The course is on the north face of the mountain, so is a little damp and cool, there is a couple of rest spots and amazing views. A great summit tops off a wonderful advanced level pretty long course, suggested time is 2.5hrs climb.
