Description: The 610 m high Türkensturz is a striking rock face near Gleißenfeld, discovered as a via ferrata wall as early as the beginning of the 20th century by climbers from the Austrian Tourist Club. The 100 m high steep wall leads almost vertically up to the Türkensturz ruins and offers an entertaining climbing adventure with its original entry and special exit finale. The climbing fun is only marred by the loud highway noise, compensated by the view of Rax, Semmering, and Schneeberg.
