Description: 13.09.2018 The Tschigat is located in the southern Texel Group, a mountain group of the Ötztal Alps, northwest above Meran. To the south, the mountain drops steeply about 2700 meters to Partschins (Parcines) and Algund (302 m) (Lagundo) in the lower Vinschgau. Tabland, a hamlet of Partschins, is on the south slope of the Tschigat at about 1300 m. To the east, the ridge continues over the 2441 m high Hochgangschartl (Il Valico) to the 2625 m high Spronser Rötelspitze (Cima Rosa). In the northeast, the Spronser Lakes extend above the Spronser Valley. To the northeast, a ridge leads to the 2707 m high Milchseescharte (Forcella dei Laghi), in the north lies a wide mountain valley called Andelsboden above the Lazinser Valley.
