Description: After freezing our mustaches in Rodnei on Saturday, on Sunday we headed to Toroioaga Peak super informed and prepared for another cold episode. It wasn't like that. The wind didn't blow, visibility was good, even the sun came out a few times. The -7C degrees seemed more than inviting, just right to take off some of the many layers of clothes. Some took off almost all:) . We started at 8:30 from Baia Borșa, climbing Piciorul Socolescu to the pasture of the same name. The snow was wonderful and the landscapes dreamy. Once in the alpine area, all participants switched to technical gear (crampons/ice axes). Following the mathematical ridge we reached Stana lui Vartic Peak 1808m and decided to stop. We took photos, photographed the cornices under Toroioaga, then returned to the guesthouse for lunch. There was almost 1000m elevation gain and a good opportunity to practice using crampons. Thanks to all participants.
