Description:
Always an incredible tour to Marchkinkele - no matter from which side. This time we started in Sillian again. The road to Winnebach and past the church into Silvestertal. At the Silvesterkapelle, following the tracks of 'Stoneman Dolomiti' the classic on old military piste - winding hairpin after hairpin up the mountain - to Strickberg and on to Marchkinkele 2,545 m where now a managed rifugio invites for a stop. The Stoneman Dolomiti now officially ends here (a legal riding ban has been imposed on the original downhill 'Stonemantrail').
