A man crosses Tisenjoch in South Tyrolean Schnalstal, is murdered there and naturally preserved in ice. In 1991 two hikers find the 'Iceman', world-famous as Ötzi. What led to his violent death remains a mystery today. Why this man was travelling, what drove him and why he had to die there is the subject of the cinema film THE MAN FROM THE ICE, the first to address Ötzi's fate, filmed at original locations in the South Tyrolean Alps.
