Description:
Pic Carlit is the highest summit of the Pyrénées Orientales, at 2921 m. It's also a summit reputed to be impossible by bike... And indeed, the normal route is completely impossible. What to do in that case? Don't take the normal route, of course! ;) The northwest couloir of Lanoux is much wilder, much more hostile... but it allows a nearly complete descent provided you're not afraid to take your bike into ultra-steep slopes crumbling with large blocks.
