From the Pfitschtal to the Hochfeiler - the highest mountain of the Zillertal Alps. My mountain holiday week starts here and I will be on the move in the mountains for the next 6 days. My acclimatization tour is challenging right away, because what others do as a 2-day tour, I start today as a day tour. On top of that, due to work, packing and driving here, I only slept 1 hour, which made itself felt on the tour in combination with the altitude. Unfortunately, I had no visibility at the summit and the ice-cold wind drove me down quickly - so no summit snack, but quickly down again. Just before the Hochfeiler hut, the rain really caught me. Sat out for a short time and waited until the worst was over, then descent. And lo and behold - on the way back it suddenly clears up, the sun peeks out and the Hochfeiler shows its most beautiful side! That's how fast it goes in the mountains....
