Description:
This is my final (I hope) A.T. ultralight backpacking gear list for thru-hiking the Appalachian Trail beginning in late April, 2018. The baseweight is 11.3 pounds. You could also call it a 'lightweight' backpacking gear set-up, rather than ultralight, since it's slightly over the 10-pound weight cut-off some people use. However, by June, 2018, my gear should be 1.5 to 2.0 pounds lighter, without cold-weather clothing I'll no longer need.
