A top-class ski tour, but only under safe conditions, a 'puiva'-dream like we had!
Starting point highway rest area Tauernalm 1190 m. Ascent over the parking lot and under the highway through to Untere Pleißlingalm, from here also to Südwienerhütte. Our ascent leads right through steep larch forest to the foot of Rießlwand and the magnificent cirque into Gamsboden at the foot of Permuthwand. Another steep step to the summit plateau of Taferlnock 2375 m with magnificent all-around panorama into the Tauern on one side and Dachstein to Hochkönig on the other. Now awaits us a 1200 elevation meters 'puiva'-descent.
