Jen and I are back from our backpacking trip at Lake Chelan and we are already out in the Central Cascades exploring another popular backpacking destination, Surprise Lake!

While today's adventure is just a day hike, we like to head out to these lakes during the gloomy weather so we can scope out the availability of parking and camping spots for a future overnight.
