Description:
Between 7 and 8 August 1744, during the First Austrian War of Succession, a battle took place on this pass between Franco-Spanish and Piedmontese forces, the latter forced to yield to the enemy advance. Many relic hunters from that battle often come to Ortiga with metal detectors.
