The diverse and beautiful Strážovské vrchy mountains in their northern part offer excellent hiking spiced with impressive rock formations belonging to Ostrá Malenica peak. Although it is the highest peak in the area, it is not among the most visited. The summit of Ostrá Malenica itself is partially forested. However, the access ridge offers truly enchanting views. You can admire Strážov, Kľak, Maníny, Považská Bystrica. In addition to views, you can also admire dolomite rock towers that dot the entire ridge. In the vicinity of Ostrá Malenica there are also several caves, sinkholes, chasms. Among the known and accessible caves is Mojtínska Cave, 46 m long. Today, a life-size statue of St. Joseph is placed in the cave. If the ascent to Ostrá Malenica is not enough for you, just look around. The area is full of many picturesque hills such as Rohatín, Dievča, Rakytník, Tupý Hrádok, Svinjské Chlievy.
