From Schaidasattel (1069 m), we followed a well-described forest road, but after a short time a trail branches off to the right, which is also described. Then it goes up quite steep serpentines through a beautiful forest, crossing the forest road several times until finally reaching the alpine pasture, where one has surely already covered 800 elevation meters. From there, one has a nice panoramic view into the Steineralpen and can already spot the summit of the Hochobir. A well-marked trail leads to the summit, from where one can enjoy a grandiose panoramic view.
