Description:
The Valcalda Sud peak (1908 m a.s.l.) is a beautiful panoramic viewpoint among the Alps of the provinces of Pordenone and Udine: the easiest route starts from Passo di Monte Rest via the Ursula Nagel path (the crest route from Forca Soprait has a highly exposed passage between Cima Valcalda Nord and Cima Sud), while the one described here is the challenging ascent from Tramonti. Water available only up to 680 m a.s.l.
