Not too demanding and very beautiful tour especially in the final part from Baita Rododendro to Laghi d'Olbe.

ROUTE: From Cima Sappada follow the road to Sorgenti del Piave passing Pian del Cristo to Pian delle Bombarde, where before Baita Rododendro 1450m leave the road turning left onto the path ascending along Rio Della Miniera. After a series of switchbacks reach a traverse (pay close attention to possible avalanche danger). Cross it and after a few turns the lifts (Sappada 2000) come into view without reaching them stay right and follow the evident summer trail. Passing Casera Olbe reach the chapel near Laghi d'Olbe 2164m. Descent along the ascent route to the lifts then along the ski slopes.
